Practical Training is a key component of the Work-Oriented Training Path. According to Chapter 5 of the Quebec Education Program,
The work-study approach, which is widely recognized for its pedagogical
effectiveness, brings the school environment closer to the realities of the world
of work. It allows for diversity in training methods and places where training
is given, and demands complementary and interaction between general
education and training in the workplace.
In Prework Training the practical training programs include: Preparation for the Job Market; Introduction to the World of Work; Work Skills.
In Training for a Semiskilled Trade the practical training programs include: Preparation for the Job Market and Preparation for a Semiskilled Trade.
